Candidate Terms

These terms apply if you register with us, apply to a role, or ask us to represent you.

Last updated: [date]

We never charge you

Our fees are paid by employers. We do not charge candidates for registration, submission, placement, training, or anything else.

Any recruiter asking you for money is not operating legitimately. See job ad red flags and outright scams.

What we commit to

We tell you who the employer is before submitting you. Every time, without exception.

We do not submit you without your permission for that specific role. Speculative submission can block you from applying directly and cause duplicate-submission problems with other agencies.

We do not contact your current employer without your explicit permission, and we do not take references from a current employer before an offer unless you agree.

We treat your search as confidential.

We give you feedback after interviews where the client provides it, and we tell you when they have not.

We tell you the salary range before you interview.

We tell you when we cannot help. If we do not work in your area or have nothing suitable, we say so rather than keeping you on a list indefinitely.

What we ask of you

Accurate information. Your work history, qualifications, and authorisation to work must be true. Misrepresentation is grounds for withdrawal and, after placement, potentially for termination by the employer.

Tell us about other processes. If you have applied to a company directly or through another agency, tell us before we submit you. Duplicate submissions create disputes that damage your candidacy more than anyone else's.

Reasonable notice if you withdraw from a process or decline an interview.

Tell us if your situation changes — you accept another role, your availability shifts, your requirements change.

Your information

Covered in full in our Privacy Policy. In summary: we hold your details to match you to roles, share them with employers only with your permission for a specific role, keep them for a defined period, and you can ask to see, correct, or delete them at any time.

Background checks

Where a role requires one, it is carried out by a consumer reporting agency after a conditional offer and only with the written disclosure and authorisation the Fair Credit Reporting Act requires.

You will receive a copy of the report and a statement of your rights before any adverse decision is made, and an opportunity to dispute anything inaccurate. Reports do contain errors. See background checks and the FCRA.

Equal opportunity

We work with employers on an equal opportunity basis and do not screen candidates on race, colour, religion, sex, pregnancy, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, age, disability, genetic information, veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state, or local law.

If you believe you have been treated unfairly in a process we managed, tell us: .

Accommodations

If you need an accommodation at any point in a process — an accessible location, additional time, an alternative format — tell us. We will arrange it, and the request plays no part in how you are assessed.

No guarantee

Registering with us does not guarantee that we will present you to any employer or that you will receive an offer. Employers make hiring decisions, not us.

Contract placements

If you take a contract role through us, you are employed by PJP as a W-2 employee for its duration. Separate employment terms apply and will be provided to you in writing before you start. See contract staffing.

Ending the relationship

You can withdraw at any time and ask us to delete your information, subject to any legal retention requirement. For broader reference, consult Cornell Legal Information Institute.
